New members will be invited to a free trial to assess the swimmers ability in order to place them in the most appropriate squad.

After joining White Oak Swimming Club all members must register with Swim England. This provides insurance and other member benefits. There are three main categories of annual club membership. These are Club Train, Club Compete and Club Support. There is an overview of each membership tier below.

Club Train membership

This is for individuals who are part of a club and are learning to swim or are swimming at any level within the club network.

It is not for people who compete in open competition in any sport, unless the event has an exemption under Swim England Law or is designated as Low Level Competition.

Club Compete membership

Club Compete is our biggest category as it is for people who want to compete and be part of a structured competitive pathway. It is for your club members who want to compete in competitions not exempted under Swim England law, or designated as Low Level Competition.

Club Support membership

Club Support is for anyone involved in a club who isn’t covered by Club Train or Club Compete, such as volunteers, coaches and teachers. You can find more detail about Club Support on the membership website here.

Swim England registration fees are then payable annually by bank transfer in January. It is essential that Swim England Membership Fees are paid on time or your child will not be insured and therefore will not be able to swim

Parents are not permitted on poolside during training sessions however the is ample viewing space within the spectators viewing room.

Squad subscription fees

Squad subscription fees are calculated based on the squad your swimmer is assigned to. Fees are payable monthly in advance on the first day of the month by standing order only. Late payment of fees may result in your swimmer being unable to swim.

Swim Manager

The club use SwimManager, a dedicated swimming software package to assist with club administration. All members are required to register with Swim Manager and keep their swimmers/parents accounts up to date. Detailed instructions on how to use Swim Manager can be found in the documents section. If parents require any assistance with Swim Manager they can contact the Club Open Meet Coordinator or Treasurer who will be happy to assist.
